This was our second trip to Rome, and though we have already experienced some of the major attractions, we were still awe-struck by the beauty of the city, most notably the Colosseum. We began our anniversary with a 6:00 AM photo session. As we approached the Colosseum, we see a couple sitting on the fence drinking a bottle of wine. As got closer they asked, "Did you just get married last night like we did?". As it turns out this lovely couple got married at mid-night and spent the entire night enjoying the view of the Colosseum drinking wine. Now, that sounds like a pretty amazing way to start a marriage!! From the moment you walk into Hotel Eden, you're mesmerized by the beauty of the establishment and the kindness of the staff. We opted for an early dinner, which turned out to be a nice surprise, as we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Our table was located by the open window, which provided the best seats to watch the sunset. We opted for the five course menu, which was great because we were hungry and wanted to try a little bit of everything! As beautiful and delicious as this restaurant is, come ready to spend, as it's one of those places to be reserved for a very special occasion. Even if you can't make it to the restaurant, the hotel bar is a can't miss! No matter what the occasion, Rome is a can't miss!
